For the sellers that want to work with Now. Now offers their own POS system that you can integrate side by side with your own POS, making order receiving and managing much easier for vendors.

Vietnammm

Vietnammm is more known and used by expats, since their restaurant choices are more in range of Western taste, and service is more tailored to support expats, and of course locals as well.
Vietnammm was recently acquired by South Korean unicorn Woowa Brothers. Their social entity has been changed to Baemin but the system is still functioning like normal under the name of Vietnammm.

Variety of choices:

At the moment, Vietnammm has about 1,500 partners on their system. If you’re craving western food like burgers, Mexican food, etc,.. then Vietnammm has a lot available for your choice. Of course there would be a lot of Vietnamese and Asian food in general as well!

Order minimum limit

Order minimum amount on Vietnammm is determined by each of their partner, it can range from 50k to 300k depending on the vendor. And of course each order would include shipping fee after reaching the minimum amount as well!

POS system

Vietnammm doesn’t have their own POS so far but with Woowa Brothers taking over, there might be one in the future!

Delivery time and order tracking

Vietnammm is still working with delivery partner instead of having their own “army” like Now. Their order tracking function on the system is there but limits to updating the ETA arrival time of your food and confirming the order only.
Order confirmation will also be sent via email, and seller also receive order information via email as well!

Payment

You can pay with credit card, cash or paypal. Paypal is probably the one who attracts a lot of expats. However, some restaurants may not accept cards or paypal so make sure you check with their policy!

Discounts

Vietnammm doesn’t have flashing discounts like Now or other apps on their system. When they still have their Facebook page, promo code is announced on there. However, now it’s more like word of mouth when it comes to promo code of Vietnammm.

Grab Food

Grab is another big name, especially in transportation, it’s a matter of sooner or later that they launch their own food platform to keep up with the trend.

Variety of choices

It is not confirmed by Grab on how many merchants are currently on the platform but Grab limits the available restaurants to those within a given distance from your location.

Order minimum limit

We’re happy to say that there is no order minimum with Grab Food so if you want 1 milk tea for yourself then go a head and order!

POS system

As far as we know, Grab Food still yet to have their own POS system for merchant to use.

Delivery time and order tracking

Grab Food with their rides booking system in place of course would not disappoint us with their order tracking. Order status is constantly updated by drivers. Drivers sometimes message or give you a call to confirm as well.

Payment

You can pay with cards, cash, GrabPay by mocha!

Discounts

Grab Food surely does have a lot of merchant based promotions, so just search for you favourite one or search under promo section on the app!
They also give out a lot of vouchers to apply like 40% off or free delivery so make sure you check your Grab Rewards for further discount.

Go-Food

Go-Viet first launched as a transportation app to compete against Grab. However, with the high demand for food delivery, and the big guy Grab has also stepped into the game, Go-Viet launched Go-Food for their delivery service.

Variety of choices

GO-Viet also doesn’t publish their merchants number. However, going through the app, there are a lot to choose from with different categories from Viet food to Western food, sweet.

Order minimum limit

There is no order minimum with Go-Viet as well. This seems to be a basic feature on most order apps, for them to be able to compete.

POS system

Being a young start-up, Go-Viet still doesn’t have its own POS but they support their partners thoroughly, you can find out more at https://www.go-viet.vn/go-food/

Payment

With Go-Viet for now, you can pay for your order with cash only!

Discounts

Right now to stay competitive, Go-Food offers a lot of promotions from merchant and free shipping. This might be a plus for go-food since they’re new and there is limitations in payment.

BAEMIN

As we mentioned with Vietnammm, BAEMIN belongs to Korean unicorn Woowa Brothers, and Vietnammm may comes together with BAEMIN as one platform in the future.

Variety of choices

BAEMIN has been in operation for just a few months so there would not be as many choices as Now or Grab Food. However, the number is growing fast!

Delivery and Payment

BAEMIN is just delivering in District 1, 3 and other central district since they don’t have a lot of drivers and partners on the system yet!

Discounts

With all the big guys racing with promos and discounts to get market share, BAEMIN cannot miss out on this crucial aspect when launching their app. There is a lot of promotions on BAEMIN as well as discount codes for you to try out their service.
