Market price of rice today in the country

Paddy prices in localities remain stable at the weekend with low supply. In Can Tho, harvesting is slow, transactions are quiet, and prices tend to increase. In An Giang, transactions are slow, quality is good, paddy prices are stable, and traders are still not buying.

The paddy market prices today are stable compared to yesterday: IR 50404 from 6,800 – 7,000 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 from 7,000 – 7,300 VND/kg; OM 5451 from 6,900 – 7,100 VND/kg; OM 18 from 7,200 – 7,300 VND/kg; OM 380 from 6,800 – 7,000 VND/kg; Japanese Rice from 7,800 – 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 from 6,900 – 7,000 VND/kg, and Nang Nhen (dry) at 20,000 VND/kg.

Domestic Rice Market Today

Sticky rice prices remain unchanged compared to yesterday: Long An Sticky Rice (dry) from 7,000 – 7,900 VND/kg; IR 4625 Sticky Rice (fresh) from 7,300 – 7,400 VND/kg; Long An Sticky Rice (fresh) from 7,400 – 7,600 VND/kg; CK 2003 Sticky Rice (fresh) from 7,000 – 7,200 VND/kg.

Rice prices increased compared to yesterday: raw IR 504 summer-autumn rice from 10,700 – 10,800 VND/kg; processed IR 504 rice from 12,650 – 12,800 VND/kg, an increase of 150 – 200 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, by-products remain unchanged: broken IR 504 at 8,600 – 8,700 VND/kg; dry bran stable at 7,100 – 7,250 VND/kg.

Export Rice Market

Vietnam’s export rice prices remain unchanged compared to yesterday: 100% broken rice at 448 USD/ton; 5% broken standard rice at 559 USD/ton; 25% broken rice at 535 USD/ton.

This week, Vietnam’s export rice prices fell to the lowest level in a year, while India’s export rice prices slightly increased due to improved demand despite ample supply.

A trader in Ho Chi Minh City said trading slowed and rain affected the harvest in the Mekong Delta. However, rice prices may rise next week as exporters anticipate Indonesia’s National Logistics Agency (Bulog) will start buying 320,000 tons of rice from early next month.

India’s 5% broken parboiled rice was offered at 540 – 547 USD/ton this week, up from 537 – 543 USD/ton last week, reaching a four-week high.
